My Second G-Shock Square is Special #Casio #GShock #Shorts

Recently I lied to you when I said that I chose the DW-5600 as my first square. Actually, it turned out to be that way because this GW-B5600 took a little too long to arrive from the land of the rising sun.

Last time, I also called the face on the DW-5600 "generic", which is why I wanted my first square to be a little different. Now this GW-B5600-2JF has several things going on with it, which includes this reflective blue border around the screen that forms the identity of the watch, surrounding its negative display, which is relatively more legible than the GW-2310FB, but less so when compared to something like the Mudmaster GWG-2000. In terms of screen legibility, I'd say that if you were to place the DW-5600 in the centre, this GW-B5600 would be on the other side of the spectrum than something like the GW-BX5600 with an MIP display.

This thing has all the bells and whistles that the fan favorite GW-M5610u has, in addition to a couple of extra goodies. Firstly, you may have noticed Bluetooth connectivity, which also allows you to work with the watch from a smartphone, though I wouldn't just buy one of these for that. At the expense of an additional app installed on your cellphone, you definitely get more than just being able to sync time and change settings on the watch.

Lastly, there's one more thing that I haven't seen anyone talk about one of these, which is something that applies to all Bluetooth-equipped G-Shocks in my knowledge. Apart from the smooth fade-in fade-out LED backlight that does what you'd expect it to pretty well, there's a secondary light used for reminders you set using the paired smartphone.

Overall, I'd say the G-Shock GW-B5600-2JF is another of those underrated G-Shocks that doesn't get the love and mention that it deserves. Having said that, you may be able to get a better package for the money, if you were to go with one with an MIP display.
