So Bazzite is super attractive in terms of being able to turning your computer into a Steam Deck, or rather a Steam Machine, unless, you're machine is equipped with hybrid graphics. While Windows has no issues at all switching between with integrated and discreet graphics as needed, Bazzite can still need a little hand-holding, and it's not just the hardware, but also your OS, your display server, Steam client, and the videogame itself.

Coming from the same team behind Proton (which is System 76), Pop!_OS has several tricks up its sleeve that let you work with a hybrid setup like Nvidia Optimus much better than other Linux distributions.

There are more than one ways to control and switch between integrated and hybrid graphics, command line tools being also an option. In my case, a fresh installation came as switched to Nvidia mode by default, which is exactly what I need while gaming. And, at least in terms of framerate, it matches that of Windows. Also, I could finally see the main menu of RoboCop: Rouge City without stutter, something that even Windows seemed to struggle for me on this hardware.

Now this is a big win for my setup on this machine, but it also brings up the need to evaluate how Nobara performs with hybrid graphics.
